Nerine Alta, Nerine Undulata, 5 Seeds

Nerine Alta
Now included under N. Undulata.

A summer growing species native to the Eastern Cape Province, South Africa. It occurs on steep slopes in partial shade. The plants are almost evergreen with a short dormancy period. The plant produces very dainty spider-like flowers which can give a wonderful display when mass planted. The soft pink flowers are produced abundantly on 10-12" (24-30 cm) stems. Petals are very fine tending to role into tubes but strongly crisped and darker pink than other forms.
It is also hysteranthous (leaves appear after the flowers). Petals are very fine tending to role into tubes but strongly crisped and darker pink than other forms.

It does not multiply by offsets as well and should be grown from seed. Seeds need to be sown in deep seed trays in a well-drained mixture such as equal parts of river sand, silica sand, and finely sifted compost. Sprinkle seeds evenly over the surface and cover them with a thin layer of the same mixture. When the first leaves appear water only once every two to three weeks.

This offer is for 5 seeds.
